Surrey Hockey
Surrey Hockey hosted the first DC camp of the cycle at St George's College Weybridge 19-21st July with U13 and U14 boys and girls participating. The players are taking part in the first stage of the Development Cycle. Successful players will be invited to an assessment training session in September from where the Age group squads will be selected.
Surrey Hockey chose to use St George's college as a venue due to its central location and excellent facilities attracting players from the northwest of the county.
Last season 22 St George’s College students represented Surrey Academy squads in the 2022/23 Cycle with 10 receiving Southern Counties Championship medals with Boys U13 and Girls U14.
Surrey Academy is a training program of five training sessions ending with four match days playing triangular tournaments with counties in the Southeast of England.
